The main objectives of the Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures are determines as follows:
To provide the students with the comprehensive information about the issues of Turkish World and make them develop a conscious approach towards Turkish culture;
To encourage the students for individual researches in scientific platform, make them think about the current issues of Turkish and produce new ideas and approaching the problems;
To introduce the phases that Turkish has gone through from old Turkish until today;
To confront the students with the issues of these dialects by means of comparative education of old and contemporary Turkish Dialects;
To focus on students’ specializing in five dialects and bring them to a level of translating and conducting researches in each dialect.
